Shilpa Raju’s bio
Shilpa Raju is a double lung transplant recipient and a patient partner co-lead with CDTRP’s research theme dedicated to engineering and allocating a better graft. She is now on dialysis to manage kidney failure resulting from long-term immunosuppression but continues to share her story to highlight the transformative impact of transplant, and is committed to improving the system and outcomes for future transplant recipients. Outside of her patient partner and organ donation advocacy work, she is a communicable disease epidemiologist and works for public health in Ontario.
