We are excited to be hosting the CDTRP 2026 Scientific Meeting and From Bench to Business: Commercial Pathways in Immunology Diagnostics Workshop  from December 1-3, 2026 at the Edmonton Convention Center and hybrid.
The CDTRP 2026 Scientific Meeting (December 1-2), co-chaired by Dr. Chantal Bémeur | Theme Lead (Theme 5) and Dr. Jonathan Choy | Theme Lead (Theme 4), will bring this national community together to share new research, advance collaboration beyond discipline-specific settings, support project planning among national working groups, and spotlight priority areas and emerging national and global trends in donation and transplantation research.
From Bench to Business: Commercial Pathways in Immunology Diagnostics, co-chaired by Dr. Anne Halpin  and Dr. Francis Migneault , is a full-day hybrid workshop supported by the CIHR Institute of Infection and Immunity. The workshop will train researchers and trainees to translate discoveries in infection and immunity from the lab to real-world applications. Participants will learn how to identify commercial opportunities, protect their ideas, and work with industry and other partners to develop products that improve health.

From Bench to Business: Commercial Pathways in Immunology Diagnostics

This full-day hybrid workshop hosted by Dr. Anne Halpin  and Dr. Francis Migneault  will train researchers and trainees to translate discoveries in infection and immunity from the lab to real-world applications. Participants will learn how to identify commercial opportunities, protect their ideas, and work with industry and other partners to develop products that improve health. The program will feature expert talks, panel discussions, hands-on sessions, and networking with leaders from business, academia, and healthcare.

The meeting will be held in a hybrid format, which means that participants will have the option to attend in person or virtually.

This meeting is separate to the CDTRP 2026 Scientific Meeting. Please ensure you are registered for this event as well.

The CDTRP Scientific Meeting begins at 8:00 am MT on Tuesday, December 1 and will run for two days. The meeting will end at 5:00 pm MT on Wednesday, December 2.

The From Bench to Business Workshop – Commercial Pathways in Immunology Diagnostics will begin at 8:00 am MT on Thursday, December 3 and ends at 4:30pm MT.

All participants are responsible for booking their own travel and accommodation unless they have been directly invited by a CDTRP Team Member. Those who are directly invited will receive specific instructions.

Certainly! Please note that your guest will need to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements, as well as register for any events they wish to attend.

To cancel your registration and receive a refund, a written request must be submitted to info@cdtrp.ca on or before November 23, 2026. Cancellation requests received on or before this date will be refunded less $25 CA of the cost of the registration.

Any cancellations after November 23, 2026 will be reviewed on a case by case basis to determine the refund amount. If approved, refunds will be processed after the events conclude.

Please make sure you have carefully reviewed the registration categories before you register. Requests to change a registration category must be submitted to info@cdtrp.ca by November 23, 2026. We are unable to change your registration after this date.
