Paraag Trivedi’s bio
Paraag Trivedi has been passionate about serving his community since a young age, being involved in organizations such as the Kids Help Phone Student Ambassador program and the Saskatchewan Elocution and Debate Association. After a shocking diagnosis of kidney failure, he received a kidney transplant at the age of 15 from his father. Once healed, he wanted to try and continue service to his community as best he could, and, in 2012 was accepted in the University of Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy, where he was fortunate enough to contribute to a patient education project for patients in renal failure and those receiving transplants. In his time at the U of S, he continued to serve as the Finance Officer for the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Students and Interns. Graduating in 2016, he entered community practice, while also contributing to research projects, mentoring and teaching pharmacy students, acting as a guest speaker for the patient experience of the journey of a kidney transplant patient, as well as regular continuing education presentations for healthcare workers. Paraag also has made it a point to speak with patients in his area, such as presenting to retirement homes, assisted living facilities and seniors groups about various health topics, and also currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Pharmacy Association of Saskatchewan. For his dedication, impact and commitment to the profession, Paraag was awarded the “New Horizons Award” by the Pharmacy Association of Saskatchewan in 2021.
