Lindsay Thompson’s bio

After 35 years of working in various roles in the Health Care field, I was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. I required chemotherapy, radiation and a Bone Marrow Transplant to reclaim a degree of healthy living. Since then, I have been an active volunteer in patient education and advocacy, education for health care practitioners and a frequent storyteller regarding survivorship. I use my lived and professional experience to support research and professional education within my different roles, including being a Patient, Family, and Donor Partner with The Canadian Donation and Transplantation Research Program.
