2025 Kidney Health Month
March is Kidney Health Month, and CDTRP is proud to count numerous kidney health specialists and patient partners living with kidney disease, having received or given a kidney, throughout our network.
Kidney health is vital to overall well-being, yet kidney disease often goes unnoticed until it reaches advanced stages. In Canada, 1 in 10 people are affected by kidney disease, but many don’t realize it until it’s too late. For those living with or at risk of kidney disease, prevention and management strategies—such as maintaining a healthy diet, staying active, and managing conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure—can make a significant difference.

For transplant recipients, ongoing research continues to improve long-term outcomes and quality of life. One such study is the research project “Acceptability and Usability of the GETONTRAK web-based self management guide for Kidney Transplant Recipients.“
