Congratulations to IHDCYH Talks Video Competition Winner: Dr. Samantha Anthony!
We are pleased to share the exciting news that Dr. Samantha Anthony and her team’s submission to the 2022 Institute of Human Development, Child and Youth Health (IHDCYH) Talks Video Competition was awarded first place!
The IHDCYH Talks Video Competition is an annual competition that accepts submissions of short videos which share an evidence-based message related to the health of children, youth and families. Videos are created for a lay audience. The competition aims to profile research which aligns with the IHDCYH’s mandate to improve knowledge translation and help demonstrate the impact of research evidence on family, reproductive, child and youth health in Canada.
Voxe: An electronic platform to introduce Patient-Reported Outcome Measures into clinical care
The title of Dr. Anthony and her team’s video is “Voxe: An electronic platform to introduce Patient-Reported Outcome Measures into clinical care”. The final version of Voxe is the product of evidence-based research, involving rounds of design and usability testing, as well as interviews with pediatric patients and their healthcare providers. The video spotlights what features patients appreciate most about Voxe and why they believe Voxe will positively impact how care is delivered. By transforming the delivery of care, Voxe is an innovative and creative way to capture and embrace patient voices.
The video has been viewed over 1,300 times and received the most votes of all videos in the competition. As the winners of the competition, Dr. Anthony and her team were awarded $3,000. Congratulations!
