The WHO has launched a public consultation on the first draft of its Global Strategy on the Donation and Transplantation of Human Cells, Tissues and Organs.

Following the adoption of Resolution WHA77.4 in 2024, WHO developed a draft global strategy aimed at guiding international efforts to improve equitable access, ethical oversight, and the development of donation and transplantation programs worldwide.

WHO is now seeking feedback from stakeholders on the clarity, relevance, and feasibility of the strategy, as well as on any gaps, risks, or issues that should be addressed before it is finalized.

The consultation is open to policymakers, regulators, healthcare professionals, researchers, patients, patient advocacy groups, and other interested organizations and stakeholders.

📅 Deadline for submitting comments: August 31, 2026
