Back in the Game: Sport Participation After Transplant

We are continuing our webinar series with Back in the Game: Sport Participation After Transplant on April 29 from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Hear from Alison Hickman and Donna Hart, as they share insights into fitness and sports participation post-transplant.

Alison became involved in the transplant community, having held roles at the Canadian Transplant Association and the Canadian Transplant Games, after her husband received a kidney transplant.

Donna was diagnosed with heart failure and later received a heart transplant in 2015. Sports has always been a part in her life and has received 14 medals and other accolades over the past few years.

We invite patients, family caregivers, clinicians, and researchers to join us as we share knowledge, experiences, and strategies to support functional recovery and active living post-transplant.

Schedule and topics (all sessions 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM EST):

  • 29 April – Sports Participation Post-Transplant
  • 17 June – Wearables & Virtual Exercise Options
  • 01 October – Resilience in Action: Tools to Thrive

When you register, you will be automatically registered for all four sessions, but you are welcome to choose which sessions you attend. Each session will highlight evidence-based practical strategies, and lived experiences to help transplant recipients stay active, motivated, and resilient.
