To Immunity and Beyond

The CDTRP is pleased to present a 13-part webinar series designed to disseminate CIHR-funded immunology research, foster knowledge exchange, and strengthen collaboration across Canada’s immunity, donation, and transplantation communities. A national virtual series disseminating cutting-edge immunology research at the intersection of immunity, infection, organ donation, and transplantation.
The series includes two primer webinars on foundational immunology topics for non-specialists (offered bilingually), alongside eleven main scientific webinars pairing mid- to late-career investigators with trainees or showcasing early-career researchers.
On April 16, 2026, we are pleased to have Drs. Mamatha Bhat and Soumita Ghosh, from the Ajmera Transplant Centre, Toronto General Hospital Research Institute, University Health Network, present their research: “Leveraging AI for Biomarker Identification in Liver Graft Pathology.

About Dr. Mamatha bhat

Mamatha Bhat is a scientist in the Ajmera Transplant Centre at the UniversityHealth Network and Assistant Professor at University of Toronto’s Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. She completed her medical school and residency training at McGill University, followed by a Transplant Hepatology fellowship at Mayo Clinic and PhD in Medical Biophysics through a CIHR Fellowship for Health professionals.
