2024 Patient, Family, and Donor Research Forum Program Highlight!

Project Heart set out to understand engagement from the perspective of persons with lived experience (PWLE) and how engagements can be approached so they are meaningful, inclusive, and impactful for all involved.
 
Together, they co-designed desired futures of engagement, prioritized them, and produced paths toward this ideal future state. Join us our PFD Research Forum this week, and learn from their approach and recommendations to improve patient engagement.
 
Sarah Douglas is a Policy Analyst at Health Canada. She co-leads Project Heart with a team of community members with lived experience, researchers, designers, and policy analysts with diverse experiences in the healthcare system.
 
Nadine Hare is a design mentor who helps teams embed design and participatory research in their work. She teaches design research at OCAD University and the University of Toronto. She
also serves as an Innovation Fellow at Women’s College Hospital.
 
Manuel Escoto is CDTRP’s Director of Patient, Family, and Donor Partnerships and Knowledge Mobilization.
