Updated: International Recommendations on COVID-19 and Donation and Transplantation and Publication Repository

Canadian Blood Services (CBS), the Canadian Donation and Transplantation Research Program (CDTRP), and the Canadian Society of Transplantation (CST) have partnered to: 1) generate evidence-based, expert informed rapid response recommendations that are updated as evidence evolves, and 2) identify knowledge gaps and research opportunities.

We have just published an update to the International Recommendations for COVID-19 and Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation here.

This is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all groups who have made COVID-19 and organ donation and transplantation related recommendations. The documents analyzed were a convenience sample of those that had been collected on The Transplantation Society website at the time of review and updated regularly.

Also updated is our repository of COVID-19 articles related to organ and tissue donation and transplantation available here. In collaboration with an information specialist from the Université de Montréal, a broad search strategy was developed to gather evidence. The repository now includes 1005 publications on donation, 1585 on transplantation, 2096 on immunosuppression and 268 on tissue.
