Ikram Abow-Mohamed is a PGY-3 Internal Medicine resident at McGill University, set to begin a Gastroenterology fellowship at McGill in the upcoming year.

Under the supervision of Dr. Benmassaoud, Ikram’s research centers on hepatology, with an emphasis on body composition, including sarcopenia and other factors influencing muscle mass and fat distribution. Her work explores how these components impact outcomes in patients with chronic liver disease, particularly in the context of portal hypertension.

Ikram is dedicated to integrating research and clinical practice, with the ultimate goal of contributing to advancements in hepatology and transplantation to improve patient care and outcomes.
