“Research Consent in Organ Donation Studies” Study

This study is looking to conduct one-on-one interviews with solid organ transplant recipients to understand how they feel about organ donor research and use of their personal health data. It is also looking to understand how solid organ transplant recipients feel about how they give permission for this research. You are eligible to participate in this study if you are:
  • A solid organ transplant recipient
  • An adult over 18 years of age
  • You received your transplant in Canada

The study is being undertaken by Amanda Lucas, a clinical researcher and PhD student at McMaster University and has been reviewed by the Hamilton Integrated Research Ethics Board and by the Canadian Donation and Transplantation Research Program (CDTRP). The CDTRP is happy to support important research just like this study.
