Canadian Blood Services (CBS), the Canadian Donation and Transplantation Research Program (CDTRP), and the Canadian Society of Transplantation (CST) have partnered to: 1) generate evidence-based, expert informed rapid response recommendations that are updated as evidence evolves, and 2) identify knowledge gaps and research opportunities.

As part of this work, we have created a website that provides a review of publicly available recommendations related to COVID-19 and organ donation and transplantation: https://cdtrp.ca/en/covid-19-international-recommendations-for-odt/

The intent is for readers to easily identify similarities and differences between the available recommendations and compare these to current practice in their own jurisdictions.

This is not meant to be a comprehensive list of all groups who have made COVID-19 and organ donation and transplantation related recommendations. The documents analyzed were a convenience sample of those that had been collected on The Transplantation Society website at the time of review.  The review will be updated on a monthly basis as new and revised information become available.  Revisions will be posted on the website.

Also available is a repository of COVID-19 articles related to organ donation and transplantation.  In collaboration with an information specialist from the Université de Montréal, a broad search strategy was developed to gather evidence related to: organ and tissue donation, transplantation, and immunosuppression. The gathered evidence is updated routinely, and is available here: https://cdtrp.ca/en/publications/open-access/
