Les foies provenant de donneurs peuvent provenir de patients ayant subi une mort c\u00e9r\u00e9brale ou une mort cardiaque. Le don apr\u00e8s mort cardiaque est une pratique relativement nouvelle. Bien que les donneurs ayant subi une mort cardiaque aient permis d&rsquo;augmenter la disponibilit\u00e9 des organes, les foies provenant de ces donneurs sont plus sujets \u00e0 des complications li\u00e9es \u00e0 de faibles niveaux d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne pendant le don. Des \u00e9tudes sugg\u00e8rent qu&rsquo;une technique prometteuse appel\u00e9e perfusion r\u00e9gionale normothermique (PRN) pourrait aider \u00e0 r\u00e9tablir les niveaux d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne et \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 de ces foies avant leur transplantation. Malheureusement, nous ne comprenons pas encore parfaitement comment la PRN affecte les fonctions normales du foie au cours de ce processus. Ce projet de recherche vise \u00e0 \u00e9tudier les changements sp\u00e9cifiques qui se produisent dans le foie pendant la PRN. Pour commencer, nous \u00e9tudierons comment la diminution des niveaux d&rsquo;oxyg\u00e8ne est corr\u00e9l\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;inflammation du foie du donneur, comment la PRN influe sur l&rsquo;inflammation du foie du donneur et si un changement dans l&rsquo;inflammation entra\u00eene une am\u00e9lioration de la qualit\u00e9 du foie du donneur. En acqu\u00e9rant une meilleure compr\u00e9hension de ces changements, nous esp\u00e9rons d\u00e9couvrir des moyens d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer encore la qualit\u00e9 des foies transplant\u00e9s et les r\u00e9sultats pour les patients.
