Nous sommes fiers de pr\u00e9senter tous les projets innovants qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 financ\u00e9s dans le cadre du concours de cette ann\u00e9e.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Nous tenons \u00e0 f\u00e9liciter chaleureusement la <strong>Dre. Pour les enfants qui ont subi une transplantation, l&rsquo;ins\u00e9curit\u00e9 alimentaire pourrait repr\u00e9senter un d\u00e9fi suppl\u00e9mentaire pour la sant\u00e9, entra\u00eenant le d\u00e9veloppement de comorbidit\u00e9s m\u00e9dicales, de probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale et une r\u00e9duction de la qualit\u00e9 de vie. For the child who has undergone life-saving organ transplantation this is concerning as lack of a healthy food supply has the potential to contribute to the onset of obesity, reduced quality of life and mental health; all of which can lead to more health problems. In adults with chronic disease, even marginal food insecurity can directly lead to more health problems.\u00a0 Many factors lead to an increased risk for food insecurity in households in Canada including number of children in the household, poverty, lack of affordable housing, geographical isolation, single parent households, biological sex and gender.
