These include procedures and adjustments to the management of the dying patient which benefit the transplant recipient and offer no clinical benefit to the donor.<\/p>\n<p>In this presentation, we will discuss the central ethical and legal issues in antemortem interventions in terms of the interests of the prospective donor and the justification for harm, the validity of consent, and the authority of surrogates to make decisions on behalf of the patient.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":6,"template":"","class_list":["post-14612","spucpt","type-spucpt","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/cdtrp.ca\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/spucpt\/14612","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/cdtrp.ca\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/spucpt"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/cdtrp.ca\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/spucpt"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/cdtrp.ca\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/6"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/cdtrp.ca\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=14612"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
