This opportunity is open to <strong>all CDTRP members<\/strong>, including principal investigators, trainees, and laboratory staff. We raise awareness about anti-Indigenous bias and stereotyping, and collaborate with health system leaders to help them take effective action toward improving Indigenous cultural safety within their organizations and across the health system.<\/p>\n<p>Governed by the Indigenous Primary Health Care Council, our work is grounded in Indigenous values, teachings, and intelligence.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>For more information, please visit their website <a href=\"https:\/\/iphcc.ca\/ontario-ics-program\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>About the Core Online Training<\/h4>\n<p>This transformative training provides an opportunity for participants to examine the ways in which their own culture, education, and history have shaped their practice, especially with regard to stereotypes that affect the quality of care provided to Indigenous people. Designed specifically for the Ontario context, participants learn about terminology, diversity, aspects of colonial history such as Indian residential schools and Indian hospitals, and a timeline of historical events.
