Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 Patient, Family and Donor (PFD) Research Forum, Pathways for Partnership: Strengthening Patient and Community Engagement with Indigenous Communities<\/em>, held virtually from June 8\u201310, 2026.<\/p>\n

Over three days, attendees engaged in conversations focused on Indigenous patient and community engagement, cultural safety, Indigenous data sovereignty, community-driven research approaches, and advancing equity within donation and transplantation systems. The Forum highlighted the importance of building relationships grounded in respect, reciprocity, trust, and shared learning.<\/p>\n

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our presenters, panelists, moderators, Knowledge Keeper Darlene Arcand, and Elder Harley Crowshoe, who generously shared their knowledge, teachings, expertise, lived experiences, and stories. Through their contributions, they helped create a welcoming space for learning, reflection, and meaningful conversation throughout the Forum.<\/p>\n
