CDTRP 2025 Research Connect Series<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The CDTRP Research Connect series is taking place every other Thursday at 1 pm ET<\/strong>. Don\u2019t forget to mark your calendars for this engaging series!<\/p>\n

This series streamlines the subset of Theme, Hub, and Working Group meetings that aimed to share and discuss the latest research findings across the network and our Webinar series, which featured national and international speakers. Theme, Hub, and Working Group meetings aimed at developing new initiatives, projects, or grants will be scheduled separately, approximately three times per year per group. Our goal is to make it easy for our members to know about and attend high quality presentations across all Themes and topics of interest. We are aiming for active discussions including researchers, trainees, and patient, family, and donor partners, engaging the whole community as if we were having a family dinner rather than listening to a formal presentation.<\/p>\n<\/div>

On\u00a0January 30, 2025<\/b> we were pleased to have Dr. Emmanuel Bebawi<\/b>, a pharmacist and cardiology resident at the University of Montr\u00e9al, to present on the topic: \u201cWeight-Adjusted Rabbit Anti-Thymocyte Globulin Induction and Outcomes in Heart Transplantation.\u201d<\/h5>\n<\/div>

About Dr. Emmanuel Bebawi<\/strong><\/p>\n

I obtained my PharmD from the University of Montreal, where I developed a strong foundation in pharmacotherapy. Eager to deepen my expertise, I completed a master’s in advanced pharmacotherapy, which enabled me to become a hospital pharmacist. For several years, I specialized as a cardiology and heart failure pharmacist, gaining invaluable experience in managing complex patient needs. Driven by a desire to expand my clinical skills, I pursued a medical degree, graduating with my MD from the University of Montreal in 2021 and earning a place on the Dean’s List. Following this achievement, I completed my training in internal medicine, and as of July 2024, I am currently in a cardiology residency at the University of Montreal. My primary interests lie in advanced heart failure and heart transplantation, areas in which I am actively involved in research with the advanced heart failure and heart transplant team at the Montreal Heart Institute.
