<\/a><\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>The University of Toronto\u00a0Transplant Institute<\/strong> is please to once again offer the national multi-disciplinary regenerative medicine graduate course<\/strong> for 2024 – 2025. The course can be taken for credit towards a Masters or PhD degree<\/strong>\u00a0by trainees across Canada.\u00a0 The course is offered through the University of Toronto, Institute of Medical Science<\/a><\/u>\u00a0and will be delivered in person (online for outside Toronto) starting September 5, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n Course Code<\/strong>: MSC7000Y (Regenerative Medicine)<\/p>\n Course Director<\/strong>: Dr. Sonya MacParland<\/a><\/u><\/p>\n Start\/End Dates<\/strong>: September 5, 2024 \u2013 April 24, 2025 (refer to the UofT SGS calendar<\/a><\/u>\u00a0for important deadlines)<\/p>\n When<\/strong>: Weekly on Thursdays from 9:00 AM \u2013 11:00 AM (Toronto time)<\/p>\n Where<\/strong>: Transplant Innovation Centre, 661 University, 9th\u00a0floor MaRS West Tower conference room 9006 (Virtual for students outside the University of Toronto)<\/p>\n The scope of this multi-disciplinary course is unique in Canada, featuring lectures from prominent researchers from across Canada and covers these areas:<\/p>\n \u2022 Organ Failure and Transplantation<\/p>\n \u2022 Stem Cells and Biomaterials<\/p>\n \u2022 Innovative Technologies and Clinical Trials<\/p>\n \u2022 Regulatory and Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine<\/p>\n \u2022 Ethics and Society<\/p>\n Participating in this course will give you the chance to connect with some of the best transplant, stem cell, and regenerative medicine researchers in Canada.<\/p>\n The course involves more than 30 Canadian faculty and visiting speakers <\/strong>and includes the 22nd\u00a0Annual\u00a0Regenerative Medicine Symposium held April 15-17, 2024<\/strong>\u00a0in Toronto for an opportunity for students to present their regenerative medicine research project, and to network.<\/p>\n View the previous 2023-2024\u00a0course schedule<\/a><\/u><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div> HOW TO ENROLL:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n Total course enrollment (for credit) is limited to 40 graduate students across Canada. <\/strong>There is no additional fee even if the University of Toronto is not your home institution.<\/p>\n Priority registration for NSERCE CREATE CEAPRO trainees and University of Toronto IMS students: Now until July 15, 2024!<\/strong><\/p>\n Students at the University of Toronto and across Canada: registration opens July 15, 2024<\/strong>\u00a0until all spaces filled!<\/p>\n Interested students must first receive permission from the Course Director to take the course prior to registering<\/strong>\u00a0by completing the form<\/a>\u00a0with the following information:<\/p>\n \u00a7\u00a0 Your personal information (Name, University and Department, Program, year and level of study (i.e. MSc, PhD, special student, other), Student ID Number (UofT only)<\/p>\n \u00a7\u00a0 Your Supervisor\u2019s information (Name and e-mail address)<\/p>\n \u00a7\u00a0 REQUIRED<\/strong>: A brief description (200 words or less) on i) your interest in taking this course, and ii) the relation of your research project to regenerative medicine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Further details and registration information can be found at http:\/\/www.regenmedcanada.com\/course<\/a><\/u>
