On March 28, 2024, the kidney and transplant community lost a tireless advocate, colleague, and friend.
\nWe are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mary Bonnie Anne Beaucage, CDTRP PFD Research Partner, Theme 1 co-lead, and a mentor who has left a lasting mark on the kidney, donation, and transplantation community.<\/p>\n

Mary was a kidney transplant recipient deeply committed to leveraging her personal experiences to enhance research, support patients, families, and organ donors on their transplant journeys, and strengthen patient-oriented research.<\/p>\n

As a proud Anishinaabekwe from Nipissing First Nation and gifted storyteller, Mary extended her expertise beyond the CDTRP community. She spoke at national and international conferences where she passionately educated researchers about indigenous health, patient partnerships, and brought awareness to organ donation.<\/p>\n
