Peer review is a key step in evaluating research projects to ensure they are feasible, ethical, applicable and well-positioned to succeed. Increasingly, those with lived experience are being invited to review research proposals, provide recommendations, and influence what health research is prioritized.<\/p>\n

The Kidney Foundation of Canada, in collaboration with Canadians Seeking Solutions and Innovations to Overcome Chronic Kidney Disease (Can-SOLVE CKD)<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Canadian Nephrology Trials Network (CNTN)<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Canadian Donation and Transplantation Research Program (CDTRP)<\/a><\/strong>, and the\u00a0Kidney Research Scientist Core Education and National Training Program (KRESCENT)<\/a><\/strong> have developed the People with Lived Experience Peer Review Training module.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This training module is available online for free in both English and French, and participants are provided a training certificate upon completion. This training is aimed at those who have never participated in the peer review process and was developed with a working group of lived experience reviewers.
