CDTRP Education and Career Development Platform is pleased to announce its new co-leads: Dr. Matthew Weiss and Ms. Ke Fan Bei<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Education and Career Development Platform provides continuing education opportunities, training, and resources to meet the diverse education and career development needs of our trainee community. The Platform focuses on providing trainees with a broad overview of knowledge and issues related to the practice of donating and transplantation, while providing them with tools on how to be better communicators, managers, scholars, and professionals. Trainees are provided with the opportunity to join national and international CDTRP initiatives, network with each other and experts in numerous disciplines, and present their work to a national audience. We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Matthew Weiss<\/strong> and Ms. Ke Fan Bei<\/strong> as the new Co-Leads who will be joining Drs. Lee Anne Tibbles and Francis Migneault in the leadership of the Platform.<\/p>\n<\/div>

About Dr. Matthew Weiss<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Matthew Weiss is a pediatric intensivist working in Quebec City at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Qu\u00e9bec and an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at the Universit\u00e9 Laval. He has multiple provincial and national donation roles, most notably as medical director of donation at Transplant Qu\u00e9bec. His research interests mainly focus on the implementation of legislative and policy reform in organ donation. He is the national lead of the LEADDR research program on implementation of reforms in Nova Scotia and had led or collaborated in the development of several deceased donation best practice guidelines. His multiple peer reviewed publications touch on diverse aspects of adult and pediatric donation. Dr. Weiss has presented on these topics in local, national, and international scientific conferences and is a frequent communicator of donation policies and practices in media outlets.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

About Ke Fan Bei<\/strong><\/h5>\n

My personal perspective in the field of transplant continuously invigorates my desire to contribute. To that end, I am a patient partner with the CDTRP and I am currently pursing a PhD in Immunology with the University of Toronto with a focus on transplant immunology.<\/p>\n
