Dr de Paula Ferreira is a Physiotherapist and has a bachelor\u2019s degree in Dance. Additionally, she has Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Physical Education from the Federal University of Paran (UFPR) \u2013 Brazil, where she studied the effects of home-based dance exercise program in people with Parkinson\u2019s Disease. Currently, Dr. Ferreira is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto, working with Dr. Sunita Mathur since 2019 in the area of frailty and sarcopenia in solid organ transplant candidates and recipients. Equally, they aim to encourage all recipients to remain fit and healthy post transplant.<\/p>\n<p>The World Transplant Games give recipients the motivation to strive towards full rehabilitation through exercise, camaraderie and healthy living.
