National Indigenous History Month: June 2021<\/h4>\n

June is the National Indigenous History Month, and as such is a very good occasion for non-Indigenous CDTRP members to learn more about Indigenous and colonial Canadian history (and present), and how it connects to your professional roles in health care and\/or research.<\/p>\n

We take this opportunity to highlight some high-quality educational resources:<\/p>\n

  1. The University of Alberta\u2019s open\u00a0Indigenous Canada course<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. San\u2019yas Indigenous Cultural Safety Training in Health<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. The First Nations Principles of\u00a0OCAP training course<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This month and every month, we encourage all non-Indigenous CDTRP members to deepen your understanding of Indigenous histories and experiences, particularly within the donation and transplantation system.<\/p>\n

    June is a great time to start, but the learning should continue year-round.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<\/div>
