As the Director of Research Operations for the Shapiro group&#8217;s clinical islet transplant team at the University of Alberta, Andrew worked tirelessly and made exceptional contributions to the team for over 20 years.<\/p>\n<p>Our community has lost a dear friend and a major cog in islet transplantation research.
