The CDTRP is committed to providing a professional, friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all participants at its meetings, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, race or any other characteristic of a person\u2019s identity. We welcome researchers from all academic disciplines and partnering organizations that can contribute to donation and transplantation research, as well as patients, family and donors.<\/p>\n

We expect all virtual and in-person participants and speakers to help ensure a positive experience for everyone.<\/p>\n

You can make a positive contribution to our community by:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Asking questions to speakers during question periods, through the chat, by raising your hand or coming to the microphone;<\/li>\n
  2. Respecting the opinions, expertise and lived experience of fellow attendees and behaving courteously.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>

    The CDTRP 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) will proceed as a hybrid event with the opportunity of attending in person or virtually. The health and well-being of our attendees remain our foremost priority. We are committed to providing a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for all participants.<\/p>\n

    <\/h2>\n

    Mask Requirements<\/h2>\n

    Masks will be required for all participants<\/strong> at the CDTRP 2024 ASM. Masks must be worn indoors except while actively eating or drinking, or if you are a speaker at the podium. All of the venue staff members will be asked to mask at all times when entering meeting\/lunch rooms and interacting with participants. A variety of high-quality mask styles will be available at the registration desk.<\/p>\n

    Testing Requirements<\/h2>\n

    CDTRP asks that all in-person attendees test themselves for COVID prior to traveling to the ASM and each morning<\/strong> before attending the sessions. Rapid tests will be provided to all attendees for this purpose.<\/p>\n

    Individuals who test positive <\/strong>prior to the meeting should stay home, cancel their in-person registration, and attend virtually if possible. CDTRP will refund the registration fee for any participants who are unable to attend in person due to illness.<\/p>\n

    Individuals who test positive<\/strong> during the meeting should contact the CDTRP Management Team (info@cdtrp.ca<\/a>) as soon as they get the positive result for support. COVID positive participants must stay isolated in their room and attend virtually if they feel well enough. Food and beverage can be delivered to the room while isolated.<\/p>\n

    Air quality<\/h2>\n

    CO2 levels will be monitored regularly<\/strong> throughout the sessions. If you would like to know the levels for a particular session (e.g., where you are speaking, to make a decision about masking), please let the registration desk know.<\/p>\n

    Physical distancing<\/h2>\n

    Session and dining rooms will be set up to allow for distanced seating.<\/p>\n

    Food and Beverage<\/h2>\n

    Meals will be served in a round-table setting with physically spaced tables.<\/p>\n

    ** There will be accommodation for people who are not comfortable eating in a group setting.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

    COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement<\/h2>\n

    All participants registered to attend CDTRP 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting in person, whether as presenters, attendees, exhibitors, staff, guests, or vendors are required to be vaccinated (following the latest NACI guidelines)<\/strong>, including all eligible boosters. Attendees will be asked to confirm they meet this requirement when registering for the meeting.<\/p>\n

    Other precautionary measures<\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. In order to minimize touchpoints, ASM materials will be available electronically<\/strong>. Attendees are encouraged to consult the CDTRP website to access program information.<\/li>\n
    2. Cleaning & Hygiene:<\/strong> high-touch areas will be cleaned and sanitized regularly. Hand sanitizer stations will be positioned at key locations throughout the event.<\/li>\n
    3. COVID Protocol Communication:<\/strong> health and safety guidelines will be communicated on the on the CDTRP website when available, in pre-meeting messaging, and on-site event signage.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

      Confidentiality Policy<\/b><\/h4><\/div>

      All research and results presented are confidential. Unless express permission is granted by the presenter, no part of presentations or results shown may be copied, utilized or reproduced in any way.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

      Unacceptable behaviour<\/strong><\/h4><\/div>
      <\/div><\/div><\/div>
      <\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>

      Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated during any portion of the meeting. Unacceptable behaviour includes but is not limited to:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Intimidating, harassing, abusive, discriminatory or demeaning speech or actions;<\/li>\n
      • Inappropriate verbal or written comments or images;<\/li>\n
      • Inappropriate use of nudity and\/or sexual images;<\/li>\n
      • Inappropriate disruption of presentations either verbally or in the chat box.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Consequences of misconduct may include:<\/p>\n

          \n
        • Immediate removal from meeting or event without warning;<\/li>\n
        • Restrictions from future meetings and events;<\/li>\n
        • Termination of CDTRP membership.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

          Remuneration Policy<\/strong><\/h4><\/div>
          <\/div><\/div><\/div>
          <\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div>

          Academic speakers for the CDTRP Annual Meeting do not receive remuneration.<\/p>\n

          To ensure accessibility for our diverse community, the CDTRP is pleased to offer free virtual registration<\/strong> to our Annual Meeting to all attendees. For those attending virtually, individuals who will not be presenting will not receive remuneration.<\/p>\n

          Patients, family and donor partners invited to the ASM<\/strong> will receive compensation for their time at a rate of $250 per day and will receive travel support covering meeting registration, the flight (if applicable), ground transportation and hotel accommodation.<\/p>\n
